AIBOS Uganda, 2024 – 2026

An AI voice platform for customer phone calls

About 40 companies running pilots within two months of release.

A call comes in through Twilio. The stream service carries the audio to and from the voice model in real time, and stores the conversation and customer data in PostgreSQL. The services run on Google Cloud Run.

I owned the call pipeline end to end, which meant the telephony integration, the audio streaming, and the backend services and schema behind them. I also built the web dashboard and the authentication that pilot companies used to manage their accounts.

Working directly with those companies taught me how to turn a problem someone describes on a call into something that can be shipped and supported in production.

  • Data ingestion pipelines

    National Social Security Fund, 2024

    I designed pipelines for real-time and batch processing of member data at Uganda's national pension fund, and built an event-driven notification system for the internal dashboards. The services were containerised and deployed on Kubernetes.

  • Gig work app with Mobile Money

    Sciencehub, 2023

    A Flutter app that connects young people with short-term work. I built it from the start, integrated MTN Mobile Money for payments, and added offline support so it stays usable where the connection is poor.

    Personal project

    An offline-first Flutter app built for a working dairy farm. The connection on the farm is unreliable, so the app records everything locally and syncs when it can.

  • Fact-checking and process automation

    AIBOS Uganda, 2025

    Fact-checking systems built on transformer models, defect detection and predictive maintenance for industrial processes, and an automated code-review assistant for our own engineering team.

  • Student Feedback System

    Open source, Makerere University, 2023

    A web app for collecting feedback from students about the services they get from the university. Student researchers later used it to collect data for their own work.

    AIBOS Uganda Limited

    • Architected and built the AI voice platform described above, and the dashboard and authentication that pilot companies used.
    • Built backend services and AI-powered internal tools for workflow automation in Python and TypeScript on PostgreSQL.
    • Coordinated the engineering, machine learning and frontend teams on two product initiatives, mentored junior engineers, and sat on the internal AI steering group.
